App Inventor 2 Spinner component

A Spinner in Android provides a quick way to choose from a set of options. We have added a Spinner to App Inventor 2, and it's super easy to use. Have a look at the following video to find out how.

  1. Unless I'm doing something wrong, my spinner.after selection is activating on screen activation, which is a big problem. I took the number out of the selection choice on the Designer screen, but to no effect. I'll have to go with something else until that is fixed.

  2. Hello, I've got the same problem - the spinner-after-selection block starts when the screen initializes, and does not wait for a user action :(

  5. Unfortunately nothing is simple with the appinventor... have you tried to add your choice to a list... selection suppose to be selection and there can be only one selection but apparently that is not what the creators understood... how and why a spinner that is suppose to give you a one single output manage to memorize the 3 selections is very educational... maybe if MIT has tried to really give real life examples instead of code that works in ideal conditions we will see the picture from Dorian Gray finally in its full ugliness... WIll I buy AI from MIT, I wouldn't buy a controller from them...
